Your Angel

I believe in angels
it's true that they exist
they walk among us people
ghost-like in the mist.

I feel sorry for the angel
that follows me around
talk about working overtime
to keep me safe and sound.

I often wonder what the angel
thinks or what he might say,or do.
Things like, "well here we go
again, he forgot to tie his shoe.
He will probably trip and fall again,
and take God's name in vain.
I'll just whisper to his
conscious that causes God
much pain."

Now what's going on?
He has lit another smoke
when harmful or fatal
is written on the pack.
Does he think that it's a joke?
I'll just have another talk
with his stubborn soul
and tell him those things
will end him quick,
and the bells of death will toll.

Now what's he doing?
With common sense you
must abide.
How's he going to see
with his head in the floor
and to the side.
You're supposed to look when you drive.
One of these days he is just
not going to make it
out of this car alive.

If stupidity was a crime,
this guy is guilty as sin.
This is the toughest job
in I don't remember when.
But God sent me to watch over
him and that is what I must
do until God's plan for him
is carried out and his life
on earth is through.

This is only me guessing
what my angel would say or do.
Although I might drive
him crazy he always pulls me through.
So if you are all alone
and searching for something
to believe...that feeling of
someone watching you might
be your angel tugging on
your sleeve.
