Thunder grumbles
Somewhere in the night
Pulling me from the wreckage
Of my melancholy thoughts

My heart wanders in the dark
Lost in nocturnal madness
Sinking in depths of sadness
Mixed up in midnight-blue

No stars to wish upon
Just lightning across
An endless black sky
A jagged blink, then gone

Wish I could ride
A fiery bolt upon the wind
Straight to wherever you
May be tonight...
